Show
Social
events are organised by the committee and have included quiz nights, barbecues,
treasure hunts, dances, dinners,
evenings
at the races (dog track, of course),
and talks by visiting speakers.
Club
members have taken part in inter-club competitions, exemption dog shows as well
as open obedience, agility and flyball competitions.
Each year members run an exemption show in order to raise funds for charity. This exemption show is usually held at Woodford Community Centre and in the past charities have included the Society for the Rescue of Destitute Animals (SRDA), PRO dogs and the Cat Protection League and in recent years we have supported Otterspool Animal Haven. (Visit the Otterspool Haven website via the logo below and have a quick look at the results they have achieved in the last few years.)
We also organise a two day open obedience show when we encourage as many club members as possible to get involved.

Training weekends are also organised where we invite well known trainers to pass on their expertise. These weekends have concentrated on obedience, agility, working trials and heelwork to music.
Other regular events are the club Christmas dinner and the dogs Christmas
party.
Throughout the summer months our demonstration team is busy providing displays for local agricultural shows, schools, summer fairs etc.
